Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow

July 17, 2016
Pastor McKinna Daugherty
1 Chronicles 29:10-13 & Ephesians 3: 20-21

We received word just before the pastoral prayer that police officers in Baton Rouge had been killed, so I have included the pastoral prayer along with the scripture reading and sermon in this recording in case you are in need of an extra prayer. Peace be with you, and may peace begin with us.

Written below is also the benediction I read this week, written by Glennon Doyle Melton:
“When the world feels evil, we must be good.
When the world feels terrifying, we must refuse to be afraid.
This is why love is a revolution.
Because it’s not easy, because choosing love in the face of danger is an act of will.
Danger on earth is inevitable. Fear is a choice.

Here is how to choose love over fear today:
Take relentless, tender, fierce care of loved ones, and strangers and enemies.
